How To Prepare for your Photo Session

Your Engagement  photos are not just for today, but for a life time!

Not only will you want to look back at your photos, but also your children will want to. So with that in mind..

Be true to yourself:  Wear clothing that will showcase your personality but at the same time choose clothing that you both will be comfortable in.

Believe me it will show in your pictures you will be more relaxed and happier during your shoot.

(Side note)  fitted clothing can accentuate a women's figure and it can showcase a man's physique however in both cases it can have the opposite effect it can reveal imperfections that we rather stay hidden!

Don't try to match exactly:  But try to complement one another.

For Women:  Short flare dresses or long flowing dresses are very popular and romantic for engagement photos.

For Men:  White or off white Khaki pants look fantastic in pictures! Also dressy black pants a classic, never goes out of style!

Consider Location: Where are your pictures going to be taken? Please dress the part!

Time of the year:  For fall, layers of clothing works, makes the transition from one outfit to another much easier.

Jewelry always adds spice to the pictures. Also scarfs, hats but not over doing it!

Props:  Just one or two. Focus is on you both!

Outfits:  One dressy one casual. I like to start with casual.

Keep in mind that styles come and go! You would never want to look back and say what in the world was I thinking!!

Stick to classic and timeless pieces for your shoot.

Avoid: Clothing with large patterns, large stripes or logos! Remember you and your fiancé are the focal point of these pictures.

Don't forget to clean your engagement ring. You want to show off the Bling!

Recommendations:  If it's in your budget please have your hair done your nails your makeup done, and your eyebrows waxed.

I can't stress enough how important it is to be on time for your photo shoot!

Good lighting makes a big difference and we don't want to miss it.

Ideal times of the day for photo shoots.

Before Sunrise or before Sunset. Not a must but the lighting is sweet, soft, romantic and golden at these times of the day!

                         I hope this was helpful..
